Balance Brings Prosperity
The title In Balance reflects an enduring Eastern belief: good fortune is not accidental—it emerges naturally when life is held in balance.
Rather than offering luck as a promise, the work invites us to cultivate the inner equilibrium from which meaningful success can grow.
A Contemporary Interpretation of Heaven and Earth
Part of Heinrich Wang's Heaven Round · Earth Square series, the vessel embodies one of the oldest concepts in Chinese philosophy.
The circular core represents the vitality of heaven and the living spirit within us. The square structure symbolizes order, stability, and the grounding force of earth.
Together, they form a quiet dialogue between movement and structure.
A Vessel That Holds More Than Objects
Although sculptural in appearance, In Balance remains a true vessel.
Its hollow interior reflects Heinrich Wang's long-held belief that porcelain differs from glass because it preserves an empty space—one that allows the object to receive, contain, and enter into a relationship with people.
The vessel is completed not only by its form, but by the life lived around it.
