Why Imperial Memories Table Accessories | Why These Pieces

  • Details define the level of a table. A carefully composed table can be undone by a single object that speaks a different design language. Imperial Memories accessories ensure every element speaks the same language.
  • The same arc, at a smaller scale. The curved form of the chopstick rest and napkin ring echo the Imperial Memories bowls and plates precisely — standalone, they are refined small objects; alongside the main collection, they complete the picture.
  • Daily durability. The salt cellar and pepper shaker are high-fired white porcelain — non-porous, odor-resistant, easy to clean, designed for everyday use without compromise.
  • The lowest-threshold entry into Imperial Memories. For those drawn to the series but not yet ready for a full set, a single accessory is the right starting point — and a considered gift at any occasion.

    Daily Kitchen

The salt cellar and pepper shaker are built for everyday use — non-porous white porcelain that does not absorb odors, wipes clean, and looks as considered at a casual breakfast as at a formal dinner.

Inspiration | Reading Life's Philosophy in the Language of Objects

The Imperial Memories chopstick rest is designed so that the resting surface holds chopsticks at a precise angle — neither too flat to grip nor too steep to look balanced. The piece is visually active even when not in use.

The aperture of the salt cellar's single hole and the pepper shaker's three holes are calibrated for controlled dispensing. The napkin ring opening follows the same arc geometry as the cup handle — a detail that only reveals itself when you hold both pieces at once.

Design Concept

The Imperial Memories table accessories represent the final extension of Heinrich Wang's founding vision — that no object on the table should be exempt from design intention. A chopstick rest is not a placeholder; a salt cellar is not an afterthought. Each of these four pieces applies the same arc language, the same material standard, and the same standard of craft resolution as the bowls and plates they accompany. Together, they complete the Imperial Memories table.
